Welcome to Vienna - Austria's capital, with it's exciting concerts, fantastic musicals and impressive exhibitions. Enjoy the delights of Viennese cuisine, typical Viennese 'gemütlichkeit' at cafés and Heurigens, and 'green Vienna' in the city's many parks
Downtown shopping malls invite you to shop and stroll around. The numerous traditional cafes are the perfect place to have a break and to enjoy a cup of coffee or a quick snack.
Vienna is renowned for it's excellent pastries and desserts.
Warm evenings are best spent at one of the quaint Heurigen wine taverns. They usually have a relaxed atmosphere which becomes increasingly lively as the evening progresses. The more touristy taverns feature live music; native Vienese tend to prefer a music free environment.
Imperial Vienna - walk the footsteps of the famous Hapsburg family, visit the spendid baroque Schönbrunn and Belvedere Palaces. From the gothic St. Stephen's Cathedral to the Imperial Palace to the Art Nouveau splendour of the Secession, from the Museum of Fine Arts to the modern architecture at the Museum Quartier. There is enough for everyone to come and enjoy.
