Welcome to Ljubljana - this city ranks amongst one of the smallest European capitals. The most beautiful parts of the city are
the Old Town below the castle, and the embankments designed by Joze Plecnik along the narrow Ljubljanica River. Plecnik was also
responsible for the Sustarskimost (Cobblers Bridge) and Tromostovje (Three Bridges).Spend the day walking and sitting around in Ljubljana. In the Old Town you will find numerous cafés and restaurants hiding picturesque shops.
Head for the café Neboticnik on top of one of the few towers in the city. The panoramic view is spledid. If you would like to
eat in the shade of a tree then there are some restaurants just outside the Old TownLjubljana Castle has been completely renovated over the last few years. If you climb the Castle Tower you will be rewarded with fantastic panoramic views of the city as well as the distant Kamnik Alps in the north, the Julian Alps with Triglav and the Karavanke Alps to the north west. |
